Regarding the daily maintenance of the modular clean shed

2026/7/1

The core of the daily maintenance for assembled clean enclosures lies in ensuring stable equipment operation, maintaining the internal cleanliness level, and promptly resolving faults. This should be carried out in four dimensions: daily inspection, regular cleaning, component maintenance, and abnormal handling. During the operation, it is necessary to follow the operating norms for the clean area to avoid secondary pollution during the maintenance process. The following are specific maintenance methods, covering basic operations and core component maintenance, and are suitable for the daily operation and maintenance scenarios of the workshop:
01 Daily Inspection
Before starting the machine, check the framework structure to ensure that the industrial aluminum or stainless steel frame is not loose, the screws are not missing, the anti-static curtains/ acrylic panels/ color steel plates are not damaged, the sealing areas have no air leakage, the soft curtain counterweight blocks are intact, and there is no accumulated dust in the joint gaps.
2. During operation, observe the FFU fan filter unit assembly. Listen to whether the running sound is uniform without any abnormal noise or vibration. Check that the indicator lights are showing normally and there are no alarm prompts. Also, check the pressure difference inside the clean room (generally maintaining a positive pressure of 5-10 Pa), as well as the temperature and humidity, to ensure they are within the set range and the wind speed is stable without sudden fluctuations.
3. Inspect the grounding system, the static electricity curtains, workbenches, and operation surfaces to ensure that their grounding resistances comply with the standards (generally ≤ 10⁹ Ω). This is to prevent the accumulation of static electricity or discharge from damaging the products.
4. Check if the lighting and control systems are functioning properly, and ensure that the parameters on the PLC panel are normal. The buttons and touch functions should be responsive.
02 Regular Cleaning
Before cleaning, the FFU must be turned off in advance (except for self-cleaning after cleaning). Operators should wear clean clothes, dust-free gloves, and masks. They should use dust-free cloths, anti-static cleaning rags, and special clean mops, along with deionized water and special neutral cleaning agents (corrosive, fragranced, or easily dust-producing cleaning agents are prohibited). The cleaning process should follow the principles of starting from top to bottom, from inside to outside, and from the clean area to the non-clean area.
1. Daily Cleaning: Use a dust-free cloth to wipe the interior ceiling, frame, and inner side of the walls of the clean room, clean the workbench surface and the floor, and promptly remove internal debris; wipe the exterior of the FFU shell and control panel, ensuring no dust or stains on the surface.
2. Weekly Cleaning: Remove the anti-static curtain (soft curtain), gently wipe with deionized water and let it dry naturally (avoid direct sunlight and rubbing), then reinstall and check the sealing fit; clean the external frame and walls of the clean room, clear the surrounding blind spots, and prevent external dust from entering.
3. Monthly Cleaning: For areas prone to dust accumulation such as the seams of the color steel plate/ acrylic hard wall, the connection gaps between the FFU and the ceiling, return air outlets/exchange ports, etc., use a dust-free cloth and a special small brush to gently sweep away the dust, then wipe clean; clean the ground return air duct (if any), ensuring smooth return air.
03 Special Maintenance of Core Components
(1) Filtration system (Critical for ensuring cleanliness. Replacement is based on both differential pressure and time standards.)
1. Primary Filter: Installed at the intake of the FFU, replace or clean once every 1-3 months (washable material can be washed and dried for reuse, do not replace directly with water); replace immediately when the filter surface is heavily dusty or the pressure difference of the FFU increases by 10%-15% during operation.
2. High-efficiency Filter (HEPA/ULPA): The core filtering component of the clean room, with a regular lifespan of 6-12 months, cannot be washed; replace immediately when the cleanliness detection in the clean room is not up to standard, or the pressure difference at the FFU outlet drops by more than 20%, or the filter surface is damaged or leaks.
When replacing: Perform the operation outside the clean room (or take dust prevention measures around) when removing the high-efficiency filter; install the new filter immediately after unsealing to avoid exposure to contamination; ensure a tight fit without gaps after installation; turn on the FFU for self-cleaning for more than 30 minutes before testing the cleanliness.
(2) FFU Fan Filter Unit
1. Check the FFU fan bearings monthly; there should be no lack of oil, no sticking, and no abnormal vibration during operation; the fan motor is maintenance-free; if there is abnormal noise or a decrease in speed, contact the manufacturer for maintenance immediately; do not disassemble by yourself.
2. Check the electrical circuits and connection terminals of the FFU every 3 months; there should be no looseness or aging, the insulation layer should be intact, to avoid short circuits; clean the dust on the fan blades inside the FFU (power off and gently wipe with a dry dust-free cloth; do not directly rinse with water).
3. For FFU that has been out of service for more than 7 days, check the filter condition before restarting; start at low speed for 10 minutes, then adjust to the normal speed; avoid directly blowing the accumulated dust into the clean room.
(3) Other Accessories
1. Anti-static Components: Check the anti-static curtains and the anti-static performance of the workbench monthly; if the anti-static effect is reduced, replace immediately; the anti-static rubber pads on the ground should be without damage or warping, and be cleaned regularly with a dedicated cleaner to maintain the anti-static performance.
2. Foot Wheels/Moving Components (for clean rooms with moving function): Add lubricating oil to the foot wheel bearings monthly, check if the braking function is intact, without sticking or loosening, avoid violent pushing and pulling when moving to prevent frame deformation.
3. Sealing Parts: Check the seals at the doors, soft curtains, and the joints of the panel assembly; if they are aging, cracked, or脱落, replace them immediately to ensure the sealing performance of the clean room and prevent non-clean air from entering.
04 Handling of Abnormal Situations
If there is abnormal noise or vibration during the operation of the FFU: Immediately stop the machine and check whether it is due to a malfunction of the fan, blockage of the filter, or loosening of the frame. After the fault is eliminated, restart the machine. Do not operate it with faults.
2. Cleanliness suddenly fails to meet standards: First, check if the high-efficiency filter is damaged/has expired, and if the primary filter is clogged. Then, check if there is air leakage at the sealing part of the clean room and if there is dust pollution outside. After the inspection, take targeted measures and retest until it meets the standards before using it.
3. Abnormal pressure difference (negative pressure too low/high): If the negative pressure is too low, check if the FFU air speed has decreased, if the seal is leaking, and if the return air inlet is blocked. If the negative pressure is too high, adjust the FFU air speed or open the return air regulating valve to ensure the pressure difference is within the set range.
4. Electrical faults (indicator lights not on, unable to start): First, check the power connection and air switch. Eliminate power supply issues. Then, check the control panel and PLC module. Non-professionals are prohibited from disassembling electrical components. Contact the manufacturer for maintenance promptly.
05 Maintenance for long-term shutdown and reactivation
1. Long-term inoperative (more than 1 month): Turn off the main power supply, remove all filters and store them sealed. After cleaning the interior of the clean room with a dust-free cloth, seal it completely with plastic film to prevent dust accumulation and moisture absorption; apply anti-rust treatment to the frame and casters.
2. Re-enable: First, remove the sealing film, clean the inner and outer surfaces of the enclosure, replace the new primary filter, check the status of the high-efficiency filter (if it has been stored for more than 3 months, it is recommended to replace it directly), turn on the FFU self-cleaning for 1-2 hours, test the parameters such as cleanliness, pressure difference, and air velocity, and only after all the indicators meet the standards can it be put into use.
06 Maintenance Management Precautions
Establish a maintenance ledger for the clean room, recording daily inspection data, cleaning time, filter replacement cycle, and fault handling situations. Ensure traceability and regularly summarize and analyze the operating status of the equipment.
2. Maintenance personnel must undergo professional training to be familiar with the structure and operation procedures of the clean room, and avoid damaging the equipment or disrupting the clean environment due to improper operation.
3. No debris or dust-related materials are allowed to be piled up around the clean room to ensure smooth air intake and return, and to keep the surrounding environment clean, thereby reducing external pollution sources.
4. Regularly (every 3-6 months), entrust a professional institution to conduct third-party testing of the cleanliness, air velocity, pressure difference, temperature and humidity parameters of the clean room, promptly identify potential problems, and ensure compliance with production process requirements.
