How to control the temperature and humidity in the laboratory
2025/1/20
In the laboratory monitoring project, different laboratories have requirements for temperature and humidity, and most of the experiments are carried out in a clear temperature and humidity environment. In the fields of medicine, biochemistry, instrument calibration, agriculture, construction and electrical appliances, laboratory environmental conditions directly affect the results of various experiments or tests, and each experiment requires accurate and reliable monitoring instruments to provide accurate environmental parameter data. The laboratory requires proper temperature and humidity. The indoor microclimate, including temperature, humidity and airflow speed, has an impact on the personnel and equipment working in the laboratory. The appropriate temperature in summer should be 18 ~ 28 ° C, 16 ~ 20 ° C in winter, and the humidity is best between 30%(winter) and 70%(summer). Except for special laboratories, temperature and humidity have little impact on most physical and chemical experiments, but the balance room and precision instrument room should be controlled according to the need.
First of all, identify the requirements of various work on environmental temperature and humidity:
The main identification of the needs of instruments, reagents, experimental procedures, as well as the humanization of laboratory staff considerations (the human body in the temperature of 18 ~ 25℃, relative humidity in the range of 35 ~ 80% of the overall feeling of comfort, and from a medical point of view, there is a certain causal relationship between environmental dryness and throat inflammation) four factors are comprehensively considered. List the requirements for the temperature and humidity control range.
Second: Select and develop an effective ambient temperature and humidity control range:
Select the narrowest range from the list of all requirements of the above elements as the allowable range of environmental control of the laboratory, formulate management procedures for environmental condition control, and formulate reasonable and effective SOP according to the actual situation of the department.
Third: Maintain and monitor:
Ensure that the ambient temperature and humidity are within the control range by taking various measures. Monitor and record the ambient temperature and humidity. If the ambient temperature and humidity exceeds the allowed range, take timely measures by turning on the air conditioner to adjust the temperature and disconnecting the humidifier to control the humidity.
Temperature and humidity control standard of a laboratory (for reference only) :
3rd floor Laboratory Monitoring Room:
Reagent room temperature 10 ~ 30℃, humidity 35 ~ 80%
Sample storage room temperature 10 ~ 30℃, humidity 35 ~ 80%
The temperature of the balance room is 10 ~ 30℃, and the humidity is 35 ~ 80%
The temperature of the moisture chamber is 10 ~ 30℃, and the humidity is 35 ~ 65%
Infrared room temperature 10 ~ 30℃, humidity 35 ~ 60%
Central laboratory temperature 10 ~ 30℃, humidity 35 ~ 80%
The temperature of the sample room is 10 ~ 25℃ and the humidity is 35 ~ 70%
The standard temperature of the laboratory is 20 ° C, the temperature of the general detection room and the test room should be 20±5 ° C, the standard room of the line value measurement is 20±2 ° C, the standard room of the electrical and radio professional and the measurement and detection equipment of the line value measurement is 20±3 ° C, and the relative humidity in the laboratory should generally be maintained at 50 ~ 70%.
Laboratory temperature and humidity control requirements Environmental conditions The control factor of temperature and humidity is to ensure that the environmental temperature and humidity of the experimental operation can meet the needs of each process of the experimental procedure. We mainly from the following aspects to develop the laboratory environment temperature and humidity control range.
First of all, identify the requirements for ambient temperature and humidity of each work. Mainly identify the needs of instruments, reagents, experimental procedures, and humanized considerations of laboratory staff (the human body feels comfortable in the temperature of 18 ~ 25℃ relative humidity in the range of 35 ~ 80%, and from a medical point of view, there is a certain causal relationship between environmental dryness and throat inflammation).
General chemical experiments generally only control the temperature, the laboratory temperature is controlled at 20 ~ 25℃, and the humidity is generally below 80%. The temperature of the room is 10℃ ~ 30℃, the temperature of the cool room is not higher than 20℃, and the humidity should be 45 ~ 75%.
